Whoever denies that prayer works hasn’t met Eli Schneider! My husband and I had been keeping tabs on the LA market since we moved here and of course, fell in love with a neighborhood that seemed out of our reach as first-time home-buyers. By default, I don’t trust people. Behind this writer’s friendly façade is a New Yorker who’s seen enough to initially wonder what your deal is and whether you’re going to drive her further into misanthropy. Upon meeting him at the open house, I couldn’t help but be impressed by his in-depth knowledge of the area (I’m talking historical!) and even of the building itself. That he went above and beyond in the small details turned out to be an indicator of how he would represent us over the next several weeks. Buying a home is humbling because everything is laid bare - your finances, credit history, virtually all general life choices leading up to you wanting to buy this quaint parcel of delicious LA real estate. There’s a lot of paperwork, involves eye-glazing legalities and oh yeah, a staggering amount of solidly middle-class money. Do yourself a favor and choose an agent who (is) 1) trust-worthy, 2) matter-of-fact (I’ll stand over a subway grate for that kind of wind, thank you, just give me the hard info), 3) always available, responsive, all about the full-disclosure, 4) organized, 5) does his/her research and will not pretend to know something when (s)he doesn’t, 6) is not afraid to negotiate for even a door fixture, 7) can refer you to other professionals (mortgage brokers, appraisers, etc.) who also turn out to be trustworthy, 8) has a solid grip on technology (makes you more competitive as a buyer/seller and less trees die), and 9) will make you feel that you are the center of his/her working universe.2 thumbs up for Eli (and for no longer paying rent)!
Since this was our first home sale, we weren’t sure what to expect, but Eli made the entire process simple for us. He anticipated every potential issue, answered every one of our questions, and was available to us 24/7. He did everything he possibly could to ensure that our experience was free of anxiety and complications, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more from a broker. We were lucky to have Eli on our team!
Eli represented us for the purchase of our current home. We were so happy with how smoothly he completed the process from the first visit through close of escrow. He remains a good friend of our entire family. Eli is savvy, personable and a big picture thinker. He was able to guide us through the process without stress. We knew he was advocating on our behalf at all times. He is honest, resourceful and reliable. I cannot imagine having done this with another agent.
Eli is the BEST Real Estate Agent ever!! He stood by my side during an especially tough escrow and had my best interests in mind every step of the way!!!! I would recommend Eli to ANYONE wanting to buy or sell a home!!! He will absolutely have your back!!

Eli was a wonderful broker. He made the process of finding our first apartment smooth and easy. We previously worked with other brokers and none of them compared to Eli. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. We look forward to working with him again in the future.
We found our dream apartment on the second try. Eli was great!
My parents and I recently worked with Eli to look for an apartment for me. As a first time renter, I had many questions, concerns, and demands for my apartment. Eli was very professional, answered my questions, went over my concerns, and met many of my demands. As my father told him at our lease signing, Eli was the only person we worked with that took this task seriously and professionally. It was a pleasure working with him.
Eli was brilliant. He followed up on an apartment that we showed interest in then had to back out of due to timing. He was able to find us an even better apartment that perfectly suited our timeline. He has been incredibly helpful and it was amazing working with him. Our apartment is perfect.
Eli—thank you SO much for meeting with me on Monday to talk about all this. You are making a bewildering, scary process feel much more calm and manageable! I really appreciate your patience.
